The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. Big-D has constructed multiple warehouses at the Copper Crossing industrial park. Built on spec for future tenants, all buildings are similar in style featuring open-web roof structures, aluminum storefronts, ACM metal panels at the entries, and a painted exterior with overhead doors and minimal loading dock equipment. They were constructed with TPO membrane roofing, skylights, minimal warehouse lighting, and clerestory windows, all which contribute to building efficiency while providing ample natural light. Construction included installation of new electrical service, gas piping, gas heaters, emergency lighting, and ESFR fire protection, as well as earthwork, utilities, asphalt paving, site concrete, and landscaping. Since completion of Building 1 in 2020, Big-D has finished construction of Building 2, is roughly halfway complete with Building 3, just starting construction on Building 5, and has completed multiple tenant improvements for a range of clients over the past few years.

Copper Crossing Buildings

The Herriman Industrial Building is a new 239,383 square foot concrete tilt-up building for Bullfrog Spas with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Research &amp; Development, Office and Retail Showroom space all contained under one roof. It is a cross-dock building with loading docks and high-speed overhead doors at grade to maximize efficiency and flexibility for the user. The building utilizes clerestory windows and skylights to maximize natural daylight and has a 36’ clear height and large efficient column spacings to maximize the economy of the structure, while enhancing the flexibility of the interior space layout for the best manufacturing processes. The north end of the building features 60,000 square feet of Class-A Office space on two levels, with great expanses of glass to maximize views and the quality of the work environment.
