The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.

The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. In 2014, Intermountain Healthcare announced that it would expand its outpatient services with the construction of the Outpatient Expansion and Med/Surgical Build-out on the Park City Hospital Campus.
The expansion project features the addition of more clinical space, as well as an Education Center that will serve as a venue for community and patient engagement. The Education Center has seating for up to 500 people. The 82,000 square foot Outpatient Expansion will provide additional administrative spaces, a Sleep Center, and space for physicians. The Park City Hospital LiVe Well Center will also be located in the new expanded part of the hospital. The new building features “shelled space” for future growth of the hospital.

Park City Medical Center Outpatient Expansion

Intermountain Healthcare is renovating many areas of its community Alta View Hospital campus in Sandy, Utah. Last fall, the hospital expanded and renovated its Emergency Department to provide faster, more efficient service. The most dramatic addition, however, is the new surgical center at the north end of the campus. The Alta View Specialty Center houses state-of-the-art facilities inside an elegant new building.
The front entrance of the 58,671-square-foot building opens onto a light-filled two-story atrium. The building’s structure is steel, and its facade uses glass, brick veneer, and metal panels.
