The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. The Sagebrush Apartments project is a new, 90-unit long-term rental and workforce housing complex in the heart of Jackson Hole, WY. The apartments are a mix of efficiently designed studio, one- and two-bedroom units ranging in size from approximately 400- to over 800-sf. The exterior of Sagebrush features rustic stone and wood veneers and Hardie® siding. The property features numerous resident amenities including a common area lounge, individual resident storage in the basement, a bike and ski maintenance area/shop, fitness center, business center, outdoor gathering space with a firepit overlooking Flat Creek, onsite parking, and public access to Karns Meadow. Project challenges included a number of Owner-initiated changes and revisions to the exterior stone veneer, but the team pulled together and worked closely with the subcontractors to find solutions that worked.

The CV2 Apartments project is an upscale multi-family housing complex on the outskirts of Minneapolis, located adjacent its sister property, CityVue, an 11-story high-rise apartment building built in a previous phase. CV2 is a new, five-story, 120-unit multi-family building comprised of a diverse mix of one- and two-bedroom units and featuring contemporary styling and high-end finishes. Construction of community amenities included a community room, game room, fitness studio, and a 12,000-sf outdoor pool terrace. Big-D’s project scope also included construction a new three-level parking structure with one subgrade level below the new building, and two above-grade levels of parking that tie into the existing parking ramp to the north, built during a previous phase
