The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. UTA is the primary public transit provider in Salt Lake, Utah, Davis, Weber, Box Elder and Tooele Counties, covering 1,400 square miles. The Timpanogos Bus Facility is one of UTA’s area maintenance and operations facilities. This design-build project was for the renovation and expansion of the that complex to accommodate additional bus capacity, facilities, parking and personnel to support UTA’s Bus Rapid Transit program. The project was completed in multiple phases, beginning with demolition of unneeded structures followed by renovation of existing maintenance bays, bus washes, and locker room areas. As part of the expansion, Big-D constructed several new structures including a fare building, wash building, tire building, fuel building, and additional bus canopies. Project challenges included construction on an operational transit facility and the enhanced contractual requirements for a FTA-funded project.

This Project… 8.6 acre lot will be developed to accommodate the new Cache Valley Transit District Administration and Maintenance Facility approx.. (107,000 sq.ft), located at 3100 N 350 West, North Logan, Utah. The Project includes the construction of a building designed for a bus storage, maintenance and operation facility. The District&#8217;s current fleet consists of 37 buses.
