The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. A company based on honesty and integrity. A company where there is no difference between what we say and what we do. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. This office of humble beginnings marked many of Big-D Construction’s significant “firsts” – first $1 million annual revenue, first million-dollar single project, and first large scale, multi-million-dollar contract.
Today, Big-D Ogden serves as both the northern Utah regional office and the homebase of our Big-D National Food &amp; Beverage division. Weber State University, headquartered in Ogden, Utah, has been serving students in Davis County, just south of its home county, for more than 60 years. In recent years the university has built a permanent home in its Davis Campus, and Big-D has been there to help.
The 120,146-square-foot Weber State University Professional Classroom Building and Central Plant expansion is the second building for the WSU Davis Campus. It contains classrooms and laboratories to accommodate nursing, electronics engineering, construction management, interior design, and other high-demand programs at WSU Davis. The new building will allow many of those programs to expand.

After 50 years in its original facility, the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah has a new home, more than 50 percent larger than the original building. The six-story structure accommodates a projected student population of 450, providing classrooms, training courtrooms, administrative office space, common areas, research areas, individual &amp; collaborative study space, dining, a student lounge, lockers and more.
The Law School sits at a main campus entry point next to Rice-Eccles Football Stadium and across from a light-rail station, needless to say the building needed to have strong visual impact. The glass, brick, and metal exterior provide a welcoming gateway to campus visitors. The top floor features the 450-person Moot Courtroom auditorium which opens up onto a roof-top terrace.
